Full obstetrical care is provided, including prenatal, vaginal delivery, C-section, and postpartum treatment. Your pediatrician is notified when you deliver to care for your newborn in the hospital.
During your prenatal care, all aspects of your pregnancy and delivery will be discussed. Options for analgesia and anesthesia available for labor will be reviewed. Each expectant mother will be helped to develop a safe, individualized birth plan that expresses her goals and desires for the pregnancy and birth process. Your partner or support person is welcome at office visits and in the delivery room. Expectant parent classes are available in the community, and the office can provide registration information.
Please let the doctor know if you have any medical problems occuring during your pregnancy that require you to receive care from another doctor or hospital. During pregnancy, your obstetrician would like to coordinate all of your medical care in order to monitor any medical problems that might affect your baby in-utero.
We encourage all expectant mothers to consider breastfeeding. Many common obstacles to successful breastfeeding can be overcome with planning. We would like to provide information, resources, and support to help your baby get off to the best start.
